Nordic Winter School on Particle Physics and Cosmology

Register now for the Nordic Winter School, organised by our SAGEX colleagues at NBI.

Nordic Winter School aims to introduce Ph.D. and advanced Master’s students to current exciting topics in particle physics and cosmology, and take place at the Thon Hotel Skeikampen, approximately 40 kilometers north of Lillehammer (200 km north of Oslo).

This year, the school has a particular focus on gravitational physics and the science behind gravitational wave analysis.

Now confirmed: SAGEX school and workshop at DESY

Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron (DESY)

The first SAGEX school and workshop will take place at DESY from 22 July – 2 August 2018. It is part of a broad programme of events designed and run by the SAGEX network, and forms part of the core scientific, soft-skills and outreach training for our Early Stage Researchers (ESRs). The event will include training on scattering amplitudes and advanced topics in string and field theory, as well as scientific writing, good scientific practice and other important skills.

The event has been designed for the SAGEX ESRs, however the school (running from 22 – 26 July) will be open to a limited number of external participants. More information on how to secure a place will be provided nearer the time, or follow us on Twitter to stay up to date.
